Blue Badge Guides are tourist guides in the UK who have passed professional exams and gained qualifications following an intensive training course. Be aware that there are also unqualified guides operating in the UK who have not completed any training and who have not been examined.
I qualified as a London Blue Badge Guide in 2001, having previously worked abroad as a guide and as a Tour Manager. I am qualified to guide tours in English, German and Italian.
I am a member of the following guiding organisations:
- The Institute of Tourist Guiding
- The British Guild of Tourist Guides
The area of my qualification covers London and the surrounding area within a radius of around 150 miles.
My interests include history, architecture, castles and palaces, cathedrals and churches, literature, art, music and countryside tours.
